Neuroscience Research Game Assets

This is a series of vector images made for a project of a PhD neuroscience student at UCL. Key difficulty was creating an alien design that could have a large variety of colour schemes that could still be identifiable by children with colour blindness.

Their research involved the way in which children measure their own confidence in their observations. They would be presented with a setting that looked like a spaceship console, viewing a planet full of little aliens. The aliens would differ only in colour, and there would be multiple aliens on each planet, of two 'species' each time. The child would determine whether they thought there were more of one alien or another on a particular planet, and then rate how confident they were about their decision on a sliding scale. To one side would be a panel with texts explaining the situation, and occasionally there would be a little astronaut providing tips in the viewscreen.
